senior portraits

Senior portraits have come a LONG way since I got mine done.... it's been a few years, yes.  In those days, where I lived, it was all studio portraits.  You could pose with big numbers (the year you graduated), and (you may be able to guess my age from this) you could get some nice hot pink highlights on the background if you wanted (or even if not!).  I paid extra to go in the parking lot behind the studio, where there was one tree which the photographer used.  My friend brought her cat.  And that was about as good as it got.

Today, senior portraits are all about variety.  I want to tell the story of who you are, and that's hard to do in just one setting.  Studio portraits are great, and can be a good setting to incorporate props that you can bring (I don't have any giant numbers).  Musical instruments, a football, dance shoes, whatever is important to you.  But let's also take some time and go outside - I love urban settings, the bosque, the mesa top overlooking the city, your football field, your back yard.

My portraits are unique because you are unique.  If you play a sport, I want to see it.  If you bring an instrument, be prepared to play it - and not just inside, we take instruments all sorts of places.  Bring your friend,  your mom, your sister.  Let's have fun.  Your session will have enough variety to make everyone happy - student, parents, and grandparents.

And these sessions are not only for seniors!  They are all about storytelling, and you don't need to be a senior in high school for that to be important.

I price my senior sessions a little differently.  If you are just interested in one location - studio or one other location - you can refer to my regular portrait session prices.  Also I am flexible and will work with you if you have different package needs.

refer a friend

I have 2 programs that I use to thank you for referring a friend to me for their senior photography, which I really appreciate.  Thanks!

1 - Bring a friend.  If you have a friend who would like to have their senior portraits done at the same time as you, each of you will receive a $20 print credit.  This could be used for 20 free wallets, other print combinations, or could be used towards a larger print.  (How about a picture of the two of you together?) And - it's really fun to bring a friend!  You'll both love it.

2 - Refer a friend.  If you loved working with me for senior portraits, your friends might too!  For every friend who completes their sessions with me, I offer a print credit or other thank-you gift.  You can take a straight $20 print credit for each friend, or you can pick the gifts shown below:
